TabWell

TabWell Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026 · Applies to TabWell for macOS, version 1.0 and later

TabWell is a text editor. It is designed so that your data never leaves your Mac.

What we collect

Nothing. TabWell collects no personal information, no usage analytics, no crash reports, no identifiers, and no telemetry of any kind.

TabWell has no network capability at all: the app runs in the macOS App Sandbox without the network entitlement, so it is technically unable to send or receive data over the internet. This is enforced by macOS, not just promised by us.

What stays on your Mac

To do its job, TabWell stores a small amount of data locally on your device only:

None of this is transmitted anywhere, shared with anyone, or accessible to other apps.

Third parties

TabWell contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and no accounts or sign-in of any kind. Your relationship with the App Store itself (purchase, download, and any ratings you leave) is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

TabWell collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of TabWell ever changes any of the above, this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the change described in the app's release notes.
